Elisa Olkoniemi Appointed as JEF Finland’s Communications Assistant

JEF Finland’s Executive Board appointed Elisa Olkoniemi, Master of Social Sciences, as JEF Finland’s communications assistant at its meeting 13/2026.

Elisa has previously worked as a communications trainee at the Ministry of Defence, as well as in various communications officer roles in the NGO sector.

“It’s fantastic to have Elisa sharpen our political communications and help build an impressive anniversary year. Next year’s parliamentary elections and JEF Finland’s 30th anniversary call for exactly the kind of communications expertise Elisa brings — someone who will make sure next year’s two biggest projects are seen and heard widely across Finland. Welcome to the office, Elisa!”, comments JEF Finland’s President Pieta Päivänen.

“It’s a pleasure and an honour to be working at JEF Finland as part of a top-notch team! I’m really looking forward to running an impactful parliamentary election campaign for JEF Finland. It’s also great to be able to help build the organisation’s 30th-anniversary campaign and highlight JEF Finland’s three-decade journey!’’, comments Elisa Olkoniemi.

As communications assistant, Elisa Olkoniemi is responsible for the political communications of JEF Finland’s parliamentary election objectives, as well as preparations for the upcoming anniversary year, in particular the drafting of JEF Finland’s history book. Olkoniemi began in the role on 4 August 2026.
