JEF Finland’s Executive Board appointed Iiris Aliska, Master of Peace and Conflict Research, as JEF Finland’s research assistant at its meeting 12/2026.
Aliska has previously worked as a research assistant in the Crisis and Security unit at Trilateral Research and at the Finnish Embassy in Abuja. She is also currently completing a Schuman traineeship at the European Parliament.

Research assistant Aliska’s main responsibility is carrying out a research project funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, which will examine young people’s values and attitudes regarding the security threats facing the EU and Finland, and how to respond to them. Aliska began in the role on 1 July 2026.
