We warmly welcome all our members to JEF Turku’s Annual General Meeting on Friday, 2 December 2022, starting at 18:00. The meeting will be held at Turku-sali, Rehtoripellonkatu 4A, 20500 Turku. Unfortunately, it is not possible to attend remotely. The meeting will primarily be held in Finnish, but we will arrange English translation for non-Finnish-speaking members. At the Annual Meeting, every individual member has the right to speak, attend, and vote. As a member, you can also stand as a candidate for the positions of trust to be elected at the meeting, and help shape the organisation’s direction for the coming year. To prove your right to vote, please bring a photo ID to the meeting. Membership will be verified against the membership register.
The following statutory matters will be addressed at the meeting:
● the Board’s report on the association’s activities for the past financial year,
● the financial statements for the previous financial year and the auditor’s statement, and approval of the financial statements,
● granting discharge from liability to the Board and other accountable parties,
● deciding on the action plan for the following year,
● deciding on the budget for the following year,
● election of the President, 1-2 Vice Presidents, and the other 3-10 members of the Board,
● election of one (1) auditor and one (1) deputy auditor, and
● other matters proposed by the Board and members, in accordance with Section 24 of the Associations Act
Interested in board work at an active youth organisation? At the Annual Meeting, every interested member has the opportunity to stand for the 2023 Board. No advance registration is required – you can also declare your candidacy at the meeting itself. If you can’t attend in person, you can send your board application to the Annual Meeting coordinator by 1 December.

● The report of the Board of Directors on the activities of the Association for the past financial year,
● the accounts for the previous financial year and the opinion of the auditor, and the approval of the accounts,
● the discharge of the Board of Directors and other responsible persons,
● the adoption of an action plan for the following year,
● decision on the budget for the following year,
● the election of the President, 1-2 Vice Presidents and the other 3-10 members of the Board,
● election of one (1) auditor and one (1) deputy auditor; and
● other matters proposed by the Board and the members, taking into account the provisions of Article 24 of the Associations Act
Are you interested in serving on the board of an active youth organisation? At the Annual Meeting, any interested member can stand for election to the 2023 Board. There is no need to register in advance, and you can also register your candidacy at the meeting. If you are unable to attend, you can send your nomination to the contact person listed below 1.12. the latest.
