At its meeting 12/2022, JEF Finland’s Executive Board selected Michelle Lyijynen, Bachelor of Social Sciences, as JEF Finland’s university trainee. Michelle has previously served as culture and recreation officer for her university subject association, volunteered at the Slush startup event and as a tutor. She also has experience in communications-related tasks.
“It’s wonderful to get to work in an interesting and capable environment at JEF Finland, while developing and learning new skills. I believe I’ll be able to put my existing expertise in event planning, communications, and organisational work to good use”, Lyijynen says happily.
The trainee’s main responsibilities include assisting with the organisation of JEF Finland’s events, event marketing, and other communications content planning. Events during the traineeship include the Autumn Days and the General Assembly. The trainee will also get to take part in ongoing projects and the planning of new ones.
“Michelle’s contribution will come in very handy during an exciting and busy autumn. We warmly welcome her to our office”, comments JEF Finland’s President Risto Rajala.
Lyijynen started in the role on 3 October 2022.
