JEF Finland’s General Assembly elected, on Sunday 29 November 2020, Helsinki-based Risto Rajala as the organisation’s new President for 2021. Rajala won the election against Lauri Ikola from Tampere by a vote of 120-47.
“As a growing and proactive grassroots movement committed to equality and internationalism, we have the chance to change the world. By bringing together young people interested in Europe, federalism, equality, human rights and the future of the whole planet, we can help secure our future. That’s why JEF Finland is needed now more than ever,” states newly elected President Risto Rajala.
In addition, Viivi Koski and Milla Ristikangas were elected Vice Presidents of the Executive Board for 2021, and Emilia Knaapi, Kaisa Matikainen, Nico Salmela, Maija Maunu, Denis Shemyakin, Mari Issakainen and Niklas Toijala were elected as Executive Board members.
