JEF Finland’s Executive Board has, at its meeting on 4 December 2020, elected Sara Salonen as the organisation’s new Secretary General. Salonen moves into the role from her position as organisational planner at the Social Democratic Youth.
“We are thrilled to get a top talent like Sara as JEF Finland’s Secretary General. What convinced us about Sara in particular was her strong vision for developing the organisation’s administration, along with her skills and enthusiasm for working with young people,” says JEF Finland President Iiris Asunmaa.
“It’s a great honour to become part of JEF Finland’s resource-efficient and good-spirited way of working. This is exactly the kind of organisation I want to put my skills to use for. I can’t wait to meet my new team,” says newly elected Secretary General Salonen.
The Secretary General is responsible for JEF Finland’s operational activities and, where needed, acts as the manager of staff and trainees. Salonen begins in the role on 11 January 2021.
